For more than a century, SuperBrugsen has set standards for product labelling, animal welfare, and organic food production.

In 1993, SuperBrugsen decided to lower prices on organic foods. This caused a dramatic increase in the sale of these products and firmly established Denmark's role as a pioneering country in terms of organic production.
